FORD AND TARRANT RETURN TO LEAD ALPINERS IN 2026

The ITM Alpiners are delighted to confirm that 2025 Head Coaches Aaron Ford (Woman) and Blair Tarrant (Men) are returning to the dugout in 2026.

After jumping across from the Men's side last year, Fordo guided the Woman to two outright victories in an extremely tight competition, before securing the bronze at finals weekend. This year he is supported by JHL Men's Head Coach Hymie Gill, who has been appointed as our PHL Women's Assistant Coach for the upcoming campaign. Gill brings a wealth of experience to the role, having guided the Otago Woman to within touching distance of the bronze medal at the recently completed 2026 National Hockey Championship.

Taz stepped into the Men's Head Coach position after finishing an illustrious playing career, and successfully guided the Men to their second Premier Hockey League title, with an emphatic 5-1 win in the final. He again has Joe Piggott for support, who has been re-appointed as Men's Assistant Coach for the upcoming campaign.
